Embrace the Elegance // Luxe Halloween Decor for a Stylish Spooky Season

Halloween is a time for creativity, fun, and a touch of the eerie, but who says it can't also be luxurious? Let's dive into some simple ways to create a hauntingly classy Halloween mood...

CREATE AN ELEGANT COLOR PALETTE

Let's avoid those bright oranges, purples, and greens that seem to line the shelves at your local big box store. Instead, opt for richer and deeper colors. Think deep burgundies, muted gold and silver metallics, and rich chocolates, midnight blues, and some soft ivories. A moody color palette evokes the feeling of spookiness without being loud and over the top.

luxurious textiles

Heavier, richer fabrics are a dramatic change from the light and airy fabrics of summer and herald the change of the season. Adding in some velvets and brocades are a great touch. And perhaps a faux fur throw will take it up a notch!

statement lighting

As we know, lighting is so important in setting the right mood for any room and occasion. For Halloween, a darker mood is achieved with dimmable lighting and glowing candles. Black taper candles are a perfect pairing with a brushed gold or brass candlestick and lends to an eerie and elegant atmosphere.

intentional arrangements

Not all decorative pumpkins should be plastic (let's say that again!). Instead, opt for pumpkins that are carved from wood or glass. When styling them alongside a floral bouquet, select dark roses, dahlias, and peonies. For a more organic look, opt for arrangements of bare branches or stems with autumn leaves.

refined wall art

If we haven't mentioned this before...please get rid of the wordy wall art! Instead, opt for art that fits the season's theme without being hokey. Vintage-inspired prints, black & white photography, and abstract paintings (in your selected color palette) are beautiful choices.

elegant accessories

Swap out those everyday items for luxe Halloween-themed items. Think gold spiderweb coasters, raven figurines, and vintage coffee table books (or those that fit the moody color palette). Adding some wispy faux spiderwebbing in small doses is a great final touch to your stylish and spooky aesthetic!
